"FireFTP" is something I have tried and tested myself. As an add on, it is very easy to use.

Have you tried FireFTP? it's FTP client based on the XUL widget, which means it's work by the FireFox browser and can be downloaded as a Add-On. Its easy, nice and lightweight.. and can be easily installed on every computer with FireFox. Check this client out, i'm sure you wouldn't disappointed.

have you looked into Coda? I don't think there is a limit on simultaneous file transfers… I know you can transfer WordPress files all at once. And it's an FTP client, editor, and more, all in one. Only downside is it's not open-source. It is pretty cheap though.
