Have you tried FireFTP? it’s FTP client based on the XUL widget, which means it’s work by the FireFox browser and can be downloaded as a Add-On. Its easy, nice and lightweight.. and can be easily installed on every computer with FireFox. Check this client out, i’m sure you wouldn’t disappointed.

have you looked into Coda? I don't think there is a limit on simultaneous file transfers… I know you can transfer WordPress files all at once. And it's an FTP client, editor, and more, all in one. Only downside is it's not open-source. It is pretty cheap though.
