Plugin Description

Mass Custom Fields Manager (MCFM) is a plugin I wrote in order to help people who use WordPress to manage their post’s custom fields with ease.
If you don’t want to spend your time editing each and every single post’s custom fields to the same value or you want to delete/update specific posts you don’t have another tool that let’s you do that.

Here is a screenshot of the plugins interface:

You can choose posts by category,ID,custom field value and more and with a click of a button manage their custom fields.

This plugin is close to what I’m looking for but I have two questions:

    1. Does this apply to past posts only? Or is there a way to specify custom fields for certain posts? For example, I have a thumbnail that I want to apply to my Twitter Update entries automatically.

    2. Is there a way to search for posts using tags instead of post ID or category?

    Thanks!

    1. Yes.
    2. No.

I will try to add these options at the next release.

    Hi there

THe plugin sounds great – exactly what i need, but i can’t get it to work.

If i search for any combination of category and field name there is always “No posts qualified your search.”

    e.g.
I wanna add custom fields to all posts in category “japan” with key: “img” and value “blabla”

So i tried a lot of combinations but nothing found.

How do i have to set the search parameters?

    :-(

I just upgraded to WP 2.8 and it works for me.

Please let me know if it worked out for you, and if not – contact me by email and if you want I can try and help you from your back end.

I’m going to release version 1.0 so I want everything working.

It is really a great plug-in. I have several blogs with custom fields which needs to be changed frequently. This one is a real time saver. Thanks for this great plug-in.

Hey…great plugin. Just wondering if there was a quickfix to allow automatically adding multiple values to the same key based on the tags…
It currently will only add the first one.
    Thanks again…

No, there is no multi value support at the moment.

I am looking for a way to add quickly a custom field based on on a pages parent (ie. http://www.mysite/parent/child/). Thoughts?

    That’s a good idea.

I may implement it into the plugin in the future, but not in the near future.
