WordPress Unsplash Gallery Widget Plugin

If you maintain an active profile on Unsplash, you might want to showcase your latest and greatest photos on your WordPress site’s sidebar as a dynamic gallery. In a similar fashion to what many people do today with their Instagram and Flickr feeds.

I didn’t find any existing solution, so I’ve created a plugin the does just that. You can see a live demo at this site’s sidebar.

To use, simply install Oren’s Unsplash Widget plugin, and add it as a widget on your sidebar.

Special thanks to Stephen for his Unsplash API PHP code snippet. And to Meks for their Simple Flickr Widget, which I used as the boilerplate for this plugin.

If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to let me know in the comments below.

  • Hi,
I truly searched a plugin like this for days! You can also check my feed on the Unsplash Slack.
It would be the perfect plugin for me, but I would need it also as Shortcode-possibility in WordPress or as Widget for the Gutenberg Editor.
Could you recode your Plugin for this? it would be really perfect!
    Kind regards,
    Eberhard Grossgasteiger
